Get up close with our gentle, curious alpacas with 2 amazing experiences this august. Whether you’re after calm interaction or a slow walk-through our beautiful estate, we offer two unique experiences perfect for all ages.

Alpaca Tea Party at Chester House Estate

The Alpaca Tea Party is a relaxed, family-friendly experience where you can spend quiet time with our alpacas in a peaceful outdoor setting.

You’ll sit at a picnic bench while the alpacas graze and move around nearby. During your visit, you’ll have the chance to feed them, stroke them, and observe their behaviour up close. Each alpaca has its own personality, and our team will introduce them individually, sharing information about their care and answering any questions you might have.

This is a calm, informal session suitable for both adults and children. You’ll also have time to take photos during the experience.

Alpaca Walk at Chester House Estate 

Meet the alpacas and take a gentle, guided walk through the beautiful landscape of Chester House Estate with one of our alpacas by your side.

Before you begin, you’ll be introduced to the alpacas and learn about their care, personalities, and how to handle them. You’ll then be matched with an alpaca that suits you for the walk.

As you stroll through Chester House Estate, you’ll experience a mix of open fields and countryside scenery. 

What’s Included:

• Meet and get to know the alpacas
• Guided introduction to the alpacas and handling instructions
• A gentle walk over varied terrain
• Supportive staff and interesting information about the alpacas

Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Children under 12 are welcome to join the walk but cannot walk the alpacas themselves and must be accompanied by an adult. 1 CHILD PER ADULT

Visitor Information

• Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked time. If you are more than 5 minutes late, the experience will begin without you and refunds cannot be offered.
• All children under 18 must be accompanied to the experience by a responsible adult.
• To walk an alpaca, guests must be aged 12 and up. Younger children are welcome to join the walk as an accompanying adult but cannot walk the alpacas themselves. 1 ADULT PER CHILD
• Park in the main car park (Claudius Way). Blue Badge holders may use our accessible parking area.
• Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. The walk includes hills and uneven surfaces.
• Ensure you are physically fit to take part. Consult a healthcare professional if needed. We may refuse participation if safety is a concern.
• No alcohol or drugs may be consumed before or during the experience.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to adverse weather or low booking numbers.
